Lip Filler

What is it / how does it work

A dermal filler is a substance that mimics the body’s own Hyaluronic Acid (HA).
They are manmade and non-animal.
Lip augmentation adds shape and volume to the lip. Injecting dermal filler along
the lip border and into the body of the lip can achieve this.

What can it treat

Lip filler can provide volume and fullness to thin lips.
Lip filler provides symmetry to uneven lips.
Lip filler can give definition to the Cupid’s Bow & the Vermilion Border.
Lip filler can smooth lip lines around the mouth.

How is it performed

Every effort is made to reduce any discomfort so a topical numbing cream can
be applied prior to the treatment. products used also contain a local anaesthetic to minimise discomfort.

The dermal filler is then carefully injected to address your concerns.

Downtime

Patients are able to perform normal activities within minutes of the treatment.
Recommended aftercare advice:
Avoid hot drinks for 2 hours.
Avoid touching the lips for 2-4 hours depending on initial swelling
Further swelling may develop 24 hours after treatment – apply cool pack to
reduce.
Bruising and unevenness are common reactions to a lip filler treatment.
