What is it / how does it work
Skin naturally produces hyaluronic acid (HA) when you are young, which keeps the skin full, hydrated and elastic. Dermal fillers mimics the effects of HA causing reduced facial lines, scars and increased plumpness of skin and lips. It is also commonly used to treat lines caused by smoking and sun damage.
What can it treat
Dermal fillers can be used in a variety of areas some of the most popular are listed below:
Marionette lines ( nose to lip lines – lip to chin)
Nasolabial folds - nose to mouth
How is it performed
Dermal filler is injected carefully into the area of concern until the desired outcome is achieved. There may be some discomfort so we make every effort to keep this to a minimum.
There may be slight swelling, slight discomfort and possible bruising but usually subsides within 48 hours.
Recommended aftercare advice;
Do not touch the area for at least 2 hours
No strenuous activity for 24 hours
No deep massage or alternative clinical treatments in the treated area for 2 weeks.
