Plasma IQ

What is it / how does it work

Plasma IQ is an exciting new technology, a new medical procedure involving the application of plasma to sublimate skin without transferring heat to the surrounding tissue. Sublimation is the process of turning a substance from a solid straight into a gas. There is no electric current flowing.

What can it treat

Plasma IQ provides a comfortable non-surgical option for a wide range of conditions:

Non-surgical face lift
Non-surgical Blepharoplasty (Eye lift/Eye lid remodelling)
Reduce fine lines, wrinkles & scars
Remove warts, moles, skin tags and milia

How is it performed

During the procedure, the plasma causes some heating of the skin which may cause some discomfort and a tingling sensation. Local anesthetic cream will be applied 30-40 minutes prior to treatment to minimise discomfort.

Downtime

Following treatment, the area may be tender or there may be a residual burning or tingling sensation that may last a few hours. Tiny dark brown or black spots may appear where individual shots have been treated which will flake off in the following days, up to 2 weeks.

Swelling is common and can be quite pronounced around the eyes, often the worse the following morning and lasting for several days.

During the healing period a scab may appear. It is important to allow any spots or scabs to a fall off naturally otherwise scarring or infection may occur. It is important to keep the treated area clean, dry and protected using a broad spectrum sunscreen. Avoid exposing the area to extremes of heat or cold until it has fully healed. Mineral makeup may be applied.

We recommend you apply a good quality aloe vera gel/cream to the area during recovery.

When can I see results

The results of Plasma IQ start to show once the skin has recovered.

Sometimes more than one treatment is required with 6 weekly intervals between treatments.

Results following Plasma IQ treatment often last years or may be permanent.
